Publishing creative work that springs from the margins. For 20 years, Grid Books and its imprint Off the Grid Press has foregrounded creative work that springs from the margins. We are proud of our focus on projects generated through intergenerational exchange, such as those encompassing oral history and collaboration among students and their teachers. We also support the annual Off the Grid Prize continues to recognize and celebrate the work of older poets. In doing so, we bring to audiences important contemporary voices in American poetry too often overlooked by mainstream publishers.
Expanding the breadth of our publishing program. In addition to the quality poetry editions upon which our reputation in publishing is established, we have expanded our program to include fiction, fine art, and oral history projects, genres we look forward to exploring and expanding in collaboration with authors and artists.
Promoting and preserving the work we publish. We are proud to produce both print and audio editions of all of the poetry publish. Our growing audiobook list represents an important step toward greater accessibility of the work we put forward, and toward the larger goal of collecting and archiving the work of our writers.
Through all of these efforts, we continue to foster and develop meaningful relationships with our authors and artists, and to encourage collaboration at every stage of the publishing process.
